The Problem

DJI, the global leader in aerial imaging technology, in partnership with Ford and the United Nations, called on us to help design and execute their third annual SDK Developer Challenge, the culmination of a global competition featuring top development teams from around the world vying for a $100,000 prize.

The Idea

The SDK Developer Challenge asked development teams to safely navigate their drones through the rubble of a disaster scene obstacle course, simulating a search-and-rescue mission.

The Solution

Produce and install a realistic disaster site comprised of a 272 square-foot house, an 8-foot bridge, a 13-foot wall, and other outsourced materials. In addition, fabricate and install all event production assets, including runway graphics, hangar signage, and viewing area materials.

The Activation

Together, with our team of creative artists, in-house production facility, and logistical brain power, we designed, built, and sourced all course obstacles to replicate a search-and-rescue environment, resulting in an authentic and professional experience for development teams and the brand.
